DIY Acrylic Table Numbers With Cricut And Martha Stewart

May 13, 2019

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

I am so excited to be partnering with Cricut and Martha Stewart to bring you today’s DIY acrylic table numbers. I have been crushing on the acrylic wedding trend for awhile. Acrylic is one of those materials that can easily be woven into any type of event whether it’s modern, boho, or feminine. Today I am going to show you how to make DIY acrylic table numbers for your bridal shower.

Spring is in the air here in Charleston and the streets are filled with blooming Jasmine. I was inspired by this pretty scene to create these table numbers. They are elegant and feminine and would look ideal at an outdoor garden bridal shower. The best part is that the Cricut® Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition makes this project super easy. With up to 2x faster cutting, you can make several table numbers in a matter of minutes! And thanks to Cricut there is no need to have good handwriting! I will show you all of the fonts I used in Design Space to give this DIY acrylic table number a handwritten calligraphy feel. So what are you waiting for? Read on below to learn how to make these acrylic table numbers.DIY Acrylic Table NumbersDIY Acrylic Table Numbers

DIY Acrylic Table NumbersWhat I love about this project is that everything you need can be found in one Cricut + Martha Stewart mixed materials pack. For these DIY table numbers I used melon vinyl, gold adhesive foil, and transfer tape – all from the English Rose pack. These mixed material packs make it so easy to mix and match different materials and colors to create wedding projects. You can find the entire Cricut + Martha Stewart collection including materials and the Explore Air 2 machine exclusively at Michaels.DIY Acrylic Table NumbersTo create these DIY acrylic table numbers you first need to paint your acrylic. I used Martha Stewart Crafts Pearl Acrylic Craft Paint in Pink Taffeta which I found at Michaels. Use a bristle brush and paint in short strokes. I painted just the center of the acrylic, leaving a border so you can still see through the table number.DIY Acrylic Table NumbersI chose to use gold adhesive foil for my table numbers but you could also use white vinyl which is included in the Martha Stewart English Rose mixed media pack from Michaels. Click Here to open my file directly into Design Space. I have sized my design for a 4×6 acrylic table number. I used Pen & Ink Cricut font and numbers from the Martha Stewart wedding cartridge pack. Load your cutting mat into your Cricut Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition and let your machine do all of the work. The Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition is the perfect gift for brides as it has a gorgeous pearl and gold color scheme. Plus, when you purchase the Martha Stewart edition you will receive 25 FREE ready to make Martha Stewart files, perfect for your wedding. DIY Acrylic Table NumbersOnce your table numbers have been cut, remove using the weeder from your Cricut Martha Stewart Essential Tool Set. These tools are included in the Martha Stewart Cricut bundle and with their pretty pearl and gold color scheme they match the machine perfectly! DIY Acrylic Table NumbersFlip your acrylic table number over so that the side you painted is on the bottom. Place transfer tape over your design and carefully place on top of your acrylic table number. As a reminder – you want to place your transfer tape on the non-painted side!DIY Acrylic Table NumbersTo finish my DIY acrylic table number I added a bit of pattern to the wooden base. This design is an included file with your Cricut Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition. I printed the pattern in melon vinyl and gold adhesive foil and applied to my wooden base.DIY Acrylic Table NumbersDIY Acrylic Table NumbersNow your DIY acrylic table numbers are complete! I think these table numbers would look so pretty for a feminine bridal shower this spring as they add the perfect girly touch. I designed these table numbers to match the Martha Stewart Mint & Blush plates from Michaels so make sure to pick these up for an easy bridal shower tablescape!DIY Acrylic Table NumbersDIY Acrylic Table Numbers

Quick question, would I be able to do this project with a standard Cricut explore Air 2? I absolutely love this idea, thanks for sharing!

Hi Michelle, You need to apply the vinyl to the opposite side, the side without paint on it.
