DIY Popsockets With Cricut And Martha Stewart

June 26, 2019

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

I’m the type of person that really appreciates a gift that is both fun and functional. So when creating bridesmaids gifts, I like to create gifts that can be used for the wedding and long after. Bridesmaid shirts, totes, and water bottles are examples of great, functional gifts. Today I thought we could take things a step further and get really creative with DIY popsockets for your bridesmaids. Whether your bridesmaids are snapping photos at your bachelorette party or selfies at your wedding, a personalized popsocket will come in handy and make taking photos that much easier. The Cricut® Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition makes it super easy to make DIY popsockets quickly and the Martha Stewart designs included mean you don’t need any design skills to create a custom gift. Read on below to learn how to make DIY popsockets for your bridesmaids!DIY PopsocketsDIY Bridesmaid Pop SocketsDIY Popsockets

Supplies you Will Need

Cricut® Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition only available at Michaels Stores
Cricut Martha Stewart Essential Tool Set, Gold
Cornflower Mixed Materials Set
Cricut 12×12 Cutting Mat
Blank popsockets (I found mine on ebay)Cricut Martha StewartWhen you purchase the Cricut Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart edition you will receive 25 FREE ready to make Martha Stewart files. I used the “leafy frame” design (#M92D61D9) from the Martha Stewart wedding cartridge collection. I love this design as it has a preppy, feminine feel. It would look great on bridesmaids totes or sweatshirts in addition to the popsockets. Once you’ve selected this image it will appear in your Design Space canvas. I used Pen & Ink Cricut font for the monogram letters and placed them in the center of the leafy frame.DIY Pop SocketsPlace navy vinyl onto your cutting mat and load into your Cricut machine. Follow the onscreen prompts to cut the first layer of your design. Once your design has finished cutting, follow the steps to cut the leaf layer onto gold adhesive foil.Cricut Martha StewartCricut Martha StewartUse your Cricut Martha Stewart tool set to weed your layers. This tool set is included in the Cricut Martha Stewart bundle and I just love the new gold and cream color scheme, perfect for brides!DIY PopsocketsPlace a small square of transfer tape over your first layer of vinyl and carefully apply to your popsocket. Transfer tape is included in all of the Martha Stewart mixed materials packs which makes it so easy to make vinyl projects.DIY PopsocketsRepeat this step for the leaf layer.DIY Popsockets with Cricut Once both layers of vinyl have been added your popsocket is ready to be used! Your bridesmaids will love using these popsockets during your wedding and will adore that they are customized!DIY PopsocketsDIY Bridesmaid PopsocketsDIY Popsockets
