Planning your wedding should be fun and easy, but I think we can all agree that often is not the case! One of the most important aspects of your wedding is the stationery and I am so excited to introduce you to my favorite way to create custom stationery, Mixbook. Mixbook is the easiest way to create fully customizable photo products like invitations, save the dates, prints, and wedding albums. Rather than choose from a generic premade template, Mixbook’s online design software gives you the freedom to customize your wedding suite in a matter of minutes and create something that represents your style. If that doesn’t sound easy enough, Mixbook and Brit + Co. recently launched a FREE online class that steps you through the process so you can create wedding designs like a pro!Designing your wedding stationery can seem intimidating but with Mixbook’s easy design software and their newly launched class you don’t need to be a pro to create. Brit + Co.’s free 90-minute course walks you through all of the steps needed to create a completely custom wedding invitation in minutes. Doesn’t that sound a lot more exciting than choosing a generic template? Using this course and the Procreate app I created the below magnolia wedding invitation suite. With Mixbook you can easily incorporate elements from your wedding into your stationery to create a design that is completely unique and reflects your wedding. For this wedding invitation I wanted a design that represented the South and this couples wedding location of Magnolia Plantation so I chose to use a Magnolia flower as the main design element. Mixbook offers a wide variety of fonts to choose from and for this invitation I chose a font with a handwritten look. Following the easy steps from Brit + Co’s course, I uploaded a Magnolia flower to my design then I simply played around with the placement of all of my elements until I was happy. I purchased this design from Creative Market to use in my invitations. The wonderful thing about Mixbook are all of the options they provide. You can customize a little bit of your wedding stationery (like changing the font color) or create a design completely from scratch. For example, I created my magnolia wedding invitation from scratch but wanted something faster for my response card. For my response card I choose a predesigned card off Mixbook’s website and simply added a magnolia flower in the top corner. It took a matter of seconds to add my image to this card and transform it into a custom design to match my wedding invitation. To make your design decisions even easier Mixbook is now offering Wedding Boutique Sampling Kits full of stationery and design samples. The kits are an amazing way to see their designs firsthand and get to touch and feel the different paper options. If you’ve never ordered invitations before it can be intimidating choosing between round edges and square edges or matte finish versus cotton texture. Mixbook’s wedding kits take the stress out of ordering and make it that much easier for you to get the wedding invitations of your dreams!
