How to Plan Your Wedding At Work

July 12, 2017

Planning a wedding can easily feel like a full time job. From picking a venue, vendors, cake tastings, and dress fittings, there is a lot to do and not always a lot of time to do it in. It only makes sense to fit in some wedding planning during the work day. It’s called multi-tasking for a reason, right? So today we’re sharing our tips to help you plan your wedding at work without getting caught!
Plan Online
Keep bridal magazines, dress swatches, and planners at home. If you’re trying to keep your planning on the down low you should stick solely to online work. Keep a tab open with your favorite blogs so you can research when you get downtime. And utilize sites like Aisle Society and Pinterest to save your favorite ideas.

Work Smart
Rather than aimlessly spending time on Pinterest, make a schedule of what you need to accomplish every day. Have a list of vendors you need to reach out to and tasks that need completion. Vendors are on their computers during business hours and will answer your emails more promptly during the day than if you email late at night.

Use Your Lunch Hour
Pack a lunch and leave your lunch hour open so that you can spend the time planning and meeting with vendors. You can easily schedule a call or in person meeting during this time. If you commute to work that’s also a great time to squeeze in some planning. If you schedule your day smart you’ll be surprised by how much you can pack in!

Be Kind To Your Coworkers
Let’s face it; your coworkers probably know your sneaking in some planning while at work. As long as you don’t let it get in the way of deadlines and stay on task there shouldn’t be too much of a problem. But, it doesn’t hurt to bring in cake samples and treats as a thank you. Besides, it never hurts to have another opinion!
