Stopping by some of the colorful murals around Raleigh, NC this engagement is almost a walking tour of the city. We love this fun engagement shoot from Alina Ligia Photography which perfectly captures a location special to the couple.
How did you meet? Eric and Katy both worked at the same Elementary School in Frisco, Texas, and they knew each other for a year and a half. In February 2018, the administration explained that due to student enrollment numbers for the 2018-2019 school year, some teachers would be transferred to a different school. Being the caring person he is, Eric was concerned and wanted to check up on how Katy was doing. He even checked up on her after her first interview and asked her to dinner to cheer her up. From that day on, they were inseparable and their lives have been so much better since.
What is your proposal story? Eric told Katy that he was receiving a special award at school for his work and dedication with the Frisco ISD Honor Choir, which he is a director of. Katy took off of work to go to Norris to support Eric in receiving the award. The Assistant Principal gave a speech about Eric and his dedication and hard work to his students and to music. In the end, she gave him a gift bag. Eric called his family, Katy, and her family onto the stage for a photo and began introducing the family members. When it was his turn to introduce Katy, he said “she is not my family… yet”, and ripped open the bag, pulling out a ring box and got down on one knee. Students and staff were screaming and Katy couldn’t say “yes” fast enough!
